The Carmel Room adjoins the Carmel Tower, copied after one at Carmel Mission. This tower is part of the northern façade of the Cloister wing, overlooking the corner of Sixth and Orange Streets. The wing was constructed in 1910, designed by Arthur Benton. From the back: "The doorway of the Carmel Room is copied after one at Carmel Mission, where Father Serra is buried. The furnishings and walls of this room are of especial interest."

Perforations on the left edge indicate that it was torn from a booklet. The publisher's logo is printed on the divided back of this German-made postcard.
