The green grass of a golf course stretches across the foreground to the foot hills of the Santa Rosa-San Jacinto Mountains rising in the background. A road or trail with many switchbacks can be seen ascending the side of the mountain from the middle left of the picture up and to the right. The divided back of the card bears the boast that it was hand-colored and American-made.

The Albertype Company was active in the printing and postcard industry between 1887-1952, but the divided back limits the earliest production of this card to 1907.
