Euclid Avenue, Ontario, California, Winter Scene
Named after the Greek mathematician, Euclid Avenue was the main thoroughfare in Ontario in the 1880's when the town was established. Eight miles long and 200 feet wide, its center supported not only grass and pepper trees but the bandstand and streetcar tracks and poles shown here. The publisher's number4716 is on the back, and there is a number printed upside-down at the top of the stamp box: 57650. Given its divided back and German manufacture, this card would have been produced between 1907 and 1915.
