In the grounds of the Fowler home, winter scene, Pasadena, California
A rustic-looking bridge crosses a stream with papyrus, reeds, and a statue of a boy. Behind the stream is a house designed by Louis Kwiatkowski (with changes in 1915 by Myron Hunt). This was the residence of Margaret Brewer Fowler (Mrs. Eldridge M. Fowler), with landscaping by Myron Hunt and Paul Joseph Howard in 1915. On the right side of the image is a white space for a message, indicating that the card was probably produced not long after postal regulations changed to allow messages on the back. The publisher's number on the divided back of this German-made postcard is 4536.
