A Pasadena residence, California, home of Hulett C. Merritt
The Van Ornum Colorprint Company, Los Angeles, California
A two-story mansion with wings on each side and multiple chimneys stands facing the road on a little hill in the "Millionaire's Row" area. This was the home of Hulett C. Merritt, between Olcott Place and South Orange Grove Avenue, also called the "Villa Merritt Ollivier," seen in the 1950s television show "The Millionaire." It was incorporated into the campus of Ambassador College as Ambassador Hall, later known as the Hulett Merritt Mansion, and then part of Ambassador Mansions & Gardens, an event venue. The slogan "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" was associated with routes of the Southern Pacific Railroad or the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific together. The publisher's number on the divided back is B32.
