Echo Mountain from Carmelita, Pasadena, California
Carmelita was the earliest name of the property where Carmelita Gardens and Carmelita Park were established. The original gardens were planted by Jeanne Carr, who also had a boarding house and a horticulture school on the property. This view from there is of Echo Mountain, a summit in the San Gabriel Mountains above Altadena. There are wear and a stain in the upper left corner and area. The publisher's number on the divided back of this German-made card is 4992. Between the divided back and the cessation of use of German printing houses, the date range of this card is around 1907-1915.
