A palm tree and other trees--one with a man leaning against it on the right, looking into the distance--are in the middle ground a view of a small town and beyond it the San Gabriel Mountains. The logo of the Detroit Publishing Company is in the lower right corner, and their number precedes the title in the lower left corner. On the back appear the words "Phostint" and "Made only by Detroit Publishing Co." Detroit Publishing was the only American company to license the Swiss photochrom process, registered in 1907. The divided back means the card was produced in or after 1907.
