On this sepia-tone card a sidewalk passes along a pergola on the left, with a row of trees on the right. The Maryland Hotel is at the end of the pergola on the left at East Colorado between Euclid and Los Robles Avenues. The number 253 is written in blue pencil on the image of the sidewalk on this card, repeating the publisher's number in the right lower corner. The slogan "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" on the divided back suggests that the card was part of a promotion of routes of the Southern Pacific Railroad or the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific together.
