Hotel Raymond, South Pasadena, California
A flower-lined walkway leads to the main portico of the Hotel Raymond, often mistakenly placed in Pasadena. Rebuilt after a fire, the "new Raymond" opened in 1901. The publisher's number follows the title in the top right corner, 8509. This German-made postcard has a divided back, meaning that it was manufactured in or after 1907 when postal regulations allowed for a divided back, but no later than 1915, when United States publishers no longer used printers in Germany due to tariffs after the start of World War I.
