The Rieder [M. Rieder, Los Angeles, California]
Although Cawston's Ostrich Farm raised birds to sell their feathers, they also had a tourist business partially promoted through streetcar lines that ran to the farm. Here adult ostriches are on the other side of a fence from eggs, chicks, and juveniles. The publisher was only in business from 1910 to 1913. This is the same image, tinted here, used on a black-and-white card postmarked 1906, and the same publisher sold the same image with a different back. This card was made in Germany, Series No. 0. 2 for the publisher.
