Van Ornum Colorprint Co., Los Angeles, California
This five-story Romanesque post office (1910) was at the corner of Temple (on the left) and Main Streets, also housing the United States District Court and other federal agencies. It was demolished in 1937. The fact that it is listed here as "new" suggests that this postcard was produced within a decade after the building's opening. The publisher's number on the divided back is A 100. The slogan "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" on the back suggests that the card was part of a promotion of The Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
