The Plaza, Los Angeles, California
The original center of Los Angeles was a plaza or zócalo. As in pueblos or cities in Mexico, the plaza was roughly circular and is in the oldest secton of Los Angeles, known as the Los Angeles Plaza Historic District, although the historic site was not the first. Here men sit on park benches beside pathways, shaded by palm trees. The publisher's number on the divided back is A 12. The slogan "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" indicates that this may have been part of a promotion of The Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
