First Congregational Church, Los Angeles, California
The view is from across the street diagonally so the church with its tower is not seen head on. In front of a lesser entrance stands a horse-drawn vehicle. In front of the main entrance are a couple of vintage automobiles. The street is unpaved, but there are telephone/telegraph poles. This church was organized in 1867, and moved in 1903 to this site at Ninth and Hope Streets. The building was in use until 1932, when the congregation moved to its present location. The publisher's number on the divided back of this German-made card is 8955. This card would have been published between 1907 (first messages allowed on the back) and around 1914, when cards were no longer sent to Germany.
