Hart Brothers New Hotel Rosslyn, Los Angeles

No title appears on the card, but a heart-shaped logo on the back declares the hotel's owners and name, with the boast that it had "800 rooms in the heart of Los Angeles Fifth & Main." The 11-story hotel, built in 1914 and designed by John Parkinson in the Beaux Arts style, towers over a downtown corner with pedestrians, cars, and a trolley (streetcar or light rail). A huge sign on the top of the building declares it to be "fire proof."
