The card bears a further description in the right lower margin: "foreground 'Spit and Argue Club.'" On the back this theme continues: "With the quiet lagoon on one side and a tumultuous surf on the other, 'the Spit and Argue Club' holds open forum daily." A large crowd is gathered on an extension to the Rainbow Pier as cars are parked or moving, pedestrians walk along the boardwalk, and others sit on the beach. Both the ocean and the enclosed lagoon are shown, along with the northern curve of the Rainbow Piier. This is a tinted linen postcard that looks exactly like the black-and-white photograph shown in PC-001-654, a Real Photo Post Card.
