A woman stands surrounded by flowers wile a man walks in another area behind her. The garden area, with lawn in the background, is below street level. Designed by architects John C. Austin and Frederick C. Brown, the hotel was originally the Bixby Hotel but was renamed in 1906 and opened in 1908. It was closed after the stock-market crash in 1932, and it was demolished after the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. The publisher's number on the back is D-60.
