This little flower garden around the sign and United States flag was at the old address of Santa Fe and Spring Streets in Long Beach, California. The apartments seen in the background comprise the "home." In 1973 a new 348-unit complex was built on Gold Star Drive and the name changed to the American Gold Star Manor. Both sets of structures were built as retirement homes for mothers who lost children serving in the United States armed forces. The publisher's number on the back of the card is 66296.
