The publisher's number on the bottom left is 580, and the card is designated here as "hand-colored." The reference to "Santa Fe" is due to the fact that this Fred Harvey House railroad station and hotel was built by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The Casa del Desierto was designed by architect Mary Colter (1869-1958), opened in 1911, and was later known as the Harvey House Railroad Depot. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
