The divided back of this picture postcard has a paragraph stating that "100,000 acres of alfalfa cut from five to eight times a year, produce an average of seven tons to the acre." A harvesting team with horses and wagons is lined up for the camera, with a large scythe on the right edge of the card. Although no publisher is credited, there is a number on the back of the card at the bottom of the dividing line, a typical place for numbers belonging to Curt Teich. The number is A-42330, which, according to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, refers to postcards made in 1913.
