Santa Cruz Lumber Co.
Santa Cruz, Calif.,

Gentlemen:-
Your favor of the 30th ult., is received, on my return home.

We want 900 poles. Wish them to be 12'' square at the butt, 7'' square at top, and 30' long. Would like to have price delivered at ships' tackle, Coronado. Should also like to have price for poles planed and chamfered, though think we will do planning and chamfering ourselves.

Yours truly, E. S. Babcock.

There is a dockage charge at wharf of probably $3.00 per day. There is no towage, and vessel can sail to wharf. Should like 200 poles quickly; the balance can be delivered at your leisure.
