Messrs Johnson Brothers,
Otay, Calif.

Gentlemen:- The milk we are getting lately is not pure, and I have given Mr Robinson instructions to deduct from your bill for any cans we received hereafter which show by test to have water. We much prefer, when we give you an extra order, to receive short of the amount ordered rather than have it increased by water. The quality of the milk we are getting is not as good as we formerly got under arrangements with other parties.

Messrs Hopkins & Cox,

Gentlemen:- Your note about boat house is received and is satisfactory, except that you are to take the material now at an inventory price, at its value, and we are to take back all the material you take from us at the end of five years at an inventory price. We cannot agree to receive the same articles after you have used them five years and received the revenue therefrom, at the same price at which you take them. This is not the understanding.
