R. Rebagliati, Esq.,
The Tacoma,
Tacoma, Wash.,

Dear Sir:-
We have had recently a military band from Mexico, here, and the music is so different from what we have been having, that I am inclined to make another proposition to you for acceptance.
We have at present four as fine musicians as there are in the United States, to whom we pay, by the year, $270.00 per month, and board. We cannot pay more for musicians this winter, but we will for a band of six give $420.00 per month and board, commencing Nov. 1st, or should you prefer to come earlier, we would pay one-half that amount. As usually we do not have nor do we care for music during Oct..
In case there are more in your party who require board, we would be willing to accept what it would cost us to board them, and that would depend entirely on the table at which they ate, from $15.00 to $45.00 per month, according to the table and service.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock Jr.
Manager.
