My dear Mr Lyons:
I want to thank you very much for your favor of the 7th, and also for speaking so plainly, as I want to know when criticisms are made. We have had so many more people tell us the table was greatly superior to what it was last Summer and Winter, and it has been confirmed so much by our hotel acquaintances that I think the parties who have criticized it have either fallen in with poor waiters, or, as is frequently the case, have tired of hotel living, and like a change. We certainly have spent a great deal more money on the table during the past Winter than ever before.
I feel that when you come down, which I hope will be soon, that we will get a good verdict from you on this point.
