There will be quail sent in every third day for the hotel. Instruct the conductors to look out for them at La Punta or South San Diego, where they are delivered, and when they have the quail on their train to have the engine blow three or four times when approaching the hotel, so the hotel's attention will be called to it, and send someone down to get them; or better still, take the quail on down to the ferry station, deliver to the conductor on the train that runs between the ferry and hotel, with instructions to have the conductor of that train advise the hotel.

Hamilton is going to send in quail every third day, and will probably deliver them on the train arriving at noon. Will have the train signal by blowing three or four times, so you can send down for them. Will you please advise the proper parties so they can be on the lookout.
