C. W. M.
We had so much trouble last winter, and so many complaints from different guests that they could not get a small table in the dining room without feeing the head waiter, some of which complaints had a good deal of truth for basis, apparently, that I think you had better, when the rates are raised, make it a rule of the house to reserve the small tables for transient guests, except in such cases as where we have permanent guests who pay us not less than $3.00 per day. This will prevent any barter or speculation in the tables, and will give the small tables, which are evidently the choice ones, to such guests as pay us the most money.
