Messrs Avery & Everhardy,
Anaheim, Calif.,

Gentlemen:--
Yours of the 24th inst., is received.
I wish you would purchase a car load of hogs for us. Try to get as good stock as possible, ranging from 50 to 120 lbs., each. If you can buy hogs delivered here at 5 cents, should like it. I understand hogs are selling for even less.
Are having more slops than will supply our present stock of hogs, therefore would like to have the hogs as soon as possible. Please advise when you think you can ship.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock Jr.
