Mr. Donlon
When you come home I want you to look into the case I hear of in Los Angeles. yesterday. Mr & Mrs Wentz and [unknown] Smith of Philadelphia was here and they were treated by one of the waiters in a shameful manner. Somewhat similar to other complain
They said they spoke to you to have [unknown] changed [unknown] and that they did not notice the waiter in the dining room the next day.
Do you remember the particulars and can you give them to me.

E. S. B. Jr.

May 15. 1890.

Robert Barnsdale,
Is our range so constructed in the Hotel so that by a system of pipes in one part of it we can heat hot water enough for the Hotel to do its dish-washing and heating of dishes and at the same time use the fire for some kind of cooking?
