Amidst news of nominations for the next term's officers and information about the homecoming football game and dance, a notable column is printed in this newsletter called "S. D. State Grows!" The column announces that enrollment has almost doubled from its previous highest due to an influx of veterans and the college is constructing 23 temporary campus buildings to accommodate them. Bill Cotton, Chairman of the Republican Central Committee, is honored in this issue as "Alum-Luminary of the month."
